Bowling For Abralon - Pro Shop Surfacing,Conditioning, Sanding & More

Hello again, it's Jim from AB's Gloves and Abrasives, Inc in Sturgis Michigan.

Today's topic of conversation is Mirka's Abralon product and it's use for resurfacing, sanding, and conditioning bowling balls.

I'm sure the good folks at Mirka weren't thinking solely of the bowling ball industry when their scientists created the wonder that is ABRALON. However, bowlers everywhere are happily rejoicing that they did.

Abralon pads have, in a very short time period, become the industry's prize for resurfacing and conditioning of bowling balls. Conditioning your ball to a specific Abralon grade can seriously assist players with their game. Some bowlers need a little more texture, others, because of their habits may need a smoother, higher lustre finish. Abralon has you covered.
Abralon makes a 6-inch pad that comes in a variety of grits that can do anything from remove the deepest toughest scratches to taking your ball to a higher lustre finish than the factory Ebonite finish that was on it when you bought it new.

Here's a general quide to using the Abralon sanding pads to your bowling advantage.

P180 for deep, rough scratches
P360 for somewhat deep scratches
P500 for mild to medium scratches
P1000 to return to Ebonite factory sanded finish
P2000 for a light luster with texture underneath
P4000 for a rich, high luster with smooth texture

For the "Joe The Plumber" bowler's out there, proshops, bowling centers and online bowling retailers sell these 6" pads for upwards of $5-8 each.
These pads last quite a while, up to 5 times longer than standard abrasives. Plus they can be used wet or dry. They can be used by hand with a glove or sanding pad or they can be used on any ball spinner for efficient, easy surfacing.
